Build the Nomad and install the hazard protection for the biome you're visiting. Use the Nomad to go from crystal to crystal, hop out, grab crystals, hop back in. Wash, rinse, repeat. If you use the Minotaur you don't have to get out to grab storm crystals, but it's also a lot slower. You'll get a lot more crystals using the Nomad.
