I've read that these engines are notorious for breaking timing chains or losing tension on it and jumping time. I'm not sure if it is true or not tho, if it's needed at 100k mi.No warning until car stops in the middle of the street. Got codes P0016, P0017, P228D, P0089, and P0341. Never started again. Took it to the dealership and they acknowledged the issue that the timing chain was broken and that the valves were bent. The repair cost $12,000 and GM is only willing to pay $1,200.2016-08-04.
