So I did a little mixing and matching and the standard 126mm Staccato flat base pads fit on the 140mm and with those installed they fit in the Cheely with the XL grip. Mine are technically the 10-8 base pads but same profile.The tapered mags on the 2011 along with the much bigger magwell make magazine insertion a breeze. Between the two it is a wash as to which is faster/easier. As far as size goes, the guns are virtually identical. The tactical magwell on the STI makes the Staccato thicker in that area but to this point it has not lead to any additional printing.

It had the tree bark grip which the Staccato rep said meant that it couldn't take the the newer generation of grips.
