I have it lined up with the half circle and I have the right sized punch but it will not budge. The gun is in excellant shape so i'm positive rust is not stopping it from coming out. my hypothesis is that the bolt latch assembly is bent and causing the latch to not engage properly. if i put my hand on the inside of the receiver and apply pressure to the latch assembly, the latch will then engage and hold the bolt open. Remove the forearm and look in the forearm to see if there is a picture of how the rings are supposed to go. I think there is a sticky on the Browning lovers forum about this. First, grip the gun firmly, that can make a big difference on marginal recoil loads. Lubing the mag tube will help, polishing it may do the trick. Polish the chamber with some 0000 steel wool wrapped around a bore brush and an electric drill.
