Obviously in pvp it’s still alive and well. Maybe at the higher end it’s better in pve but so far at lower levels it’s underwhelming. I can’t even use it to level anymore. I am katana lover and I basically finished all souls games with katanas. Nagakiba has great damage, nice moveset and oh my god the reach on R2 wow. I enchanted mine with occult and Bloodhound Step and basically no other weapon was better. I even tried Eleonora's Poleblade and Rivers of Blood but still in the end switched to my Nagakiba.Uchigatana with similar stats will do way more damage, and 1 shot kill with unsheathe.
