Crossing a Corriente to a beef breed bull will not guarantee that the offspring will have more muscling. The cow has a lot to do with how the calf turns out. We have Jersey cows and breed them to Angus. Right now we have a smooth black cow (1/2 Angus, 1/2 Jersey) with a 3/4 Angus calf. You can still see the dairy in him.
I believe the tenderness is genetic b/c with-in the genetic make-up of a corriente are dairy cattle and dairy cattle and known for being tender.
