You won't need to dedicate more than 8gb. Anymore and you risk having other issues. I put whatever twitch launcher's limit is (10gb iirc). Haven't had problems with stuttering since. That was when I only had 16gb total. I have 16g total, playing by myself I allocate 6g and have absolutely no issues at 14-16 chunks.

I put 8 Gigs on java and tried some jvm argument from other people but only getting unstable 40 - 60 fps with 5 render chunks and sildur's vibrant lite.Then we can add the shader pack the same way we added Optifine to the instance, but instead of adding to the "Mods Folder" we add it as a "Shader Pack: Now we can select Optifine as well as all the shader pack/s we added in the right hand side and then hit "Enable Selected" to enable them: And that's it.
