Dec 24, 2020 · Here's a warning to you belt installers. I replaced my belt with a genuine BMW part of the exact same part number as my old (and original) belt on my 2014 X3, 35i, N55 engine. After multiple attemps I was unable to get the new belt onto the pulleys, even though I had the tensioner pulley fully in release position. Just couldn't do it.
