The strength of Eleonora pole blade is the ash of war and base bleed/fire damage. Godskin peeler is excellent but my favourite is Knight twinblade because it has great reach and scales with strength. Also blackflame tornado can be insane on twinblade once you find it. I found myself really well with Eleonora's at +10.

2 handing is the way to go. Although powerstancing is powerful the moveset looks lame and is only really worth it for the jump attack. That is why you see it less, you burn your enemies to death before they bleed out. you can add bleed affinity to the peeler and not worrying about the rest.
The weapon art builds up stagger damage very quickly, plus the split damage on it actually builds up bleed over time. In the right hands or with the right build and playstyle, it annihilates.
