Sep 27, 2022 · From a bike perspective, I can’t see many people using this lock for anything except higher end bikes. After all, it doesn’t make much sense to secure a $500 bike with a $300 lock. Also, since there haven’t been locks available for general order, we haven’t really seen the world putting this lock through its paces.
I doubt Walmart would have anything super secure, but if your bike isn't too expensive and theft rates are low then you're probably fine. I'd still stay away from cable locks - they can be cut very easily. A solid U-bar is much better. A bad lock is better than no lock.
