I have a dedicated CMMG one thats been surprisingly reliable and loads of fun. I have the Matador Arms Montgo 9mm on my radar. It claims to be drop on compatible but i haven’t seen anyone with one yet. It will need a mag block adapter or maybe the CMMG AR9 mags in PMAG bodies will work directly. 1.Probably just phasing out in preparation of Gen 3. The hype train has slowed down quite a bit, but they're still pretty popular uppers, and PWS (the manufacturer of them) is doing fine. They'd be nuts to discontinue them.
