Looked at several parts stores before finding one in stock for about $170 (thermostat and housing assy). Used the following video intructions and did the job easily in about 3-4 hours. That time can easily be cut down for someone who has done it before. We have this 2019 Acadia where all of a sudden, at random, the radiator fan runs on high constantly, the AC stops blowing cold air, the thermostat gauge on the dash drops to the C, and the Power Assist is reduced and pops up as a message on the dash as well. Sounds like this may be a common problem among Acadia's.

Here are the symptoms: 1) Engine Overheating/Turn off A/C message flashing. 2) Engine temp in traffic with A/C on runs close to 250. 3) Engine temp without A/C on runs around 240. 4) Turning the heater on brings the temp down to 220-230.This problem finally came to my ‘18 Acadia SLT w/ 82k. Same issues as most other: 1) Steering Assist Disabled message, 2) Temp gauge on 0, 3) Radiator fan on max, 4) AC compressor declutched. P0182 comes up when scanned. Battery slightly over 1 yr old, terminals completely clean and tight.It was a $75 option if you factory ordered it. My local GMC dealer looked up the parts to order. Gm wanted $30 for the block heater and $130 for the cord and $80 for the labor to install.
