Trijicon seems to be brighter, at least in the yellow sights. I do notice a big difference between the XR and XD. XD certainly provides fast target acquisition at self defense ranges, but so does the XR. Between the XD Mod 2 and the G26 it's just a matter of which one feels better in your hand while shooting it. Both are excellent choices, don't matter which one you end up getting. The Glock conceals better, and have tons of aftermarket options, for lesser price than the XD. That's the only advantage on the G26.
I guess it is angled near 5 degrees more than the HS, that help me hold it better. When shooting, I felt the recoil 'a lot' with the HS/XD (4" barrel), more than the Glock 34 (5.3" barrel). I also lost the sights between each shot. With the G34 it was easier to re-gain the sight picture between shots.
