Like Wayne says, the closest one can ID that knife is pre-WW2. Yes, early Marbles knives had different spacer packs than the later knives but I don't think that applies to the Woodcraft model but it is seen on Ideals and Trailmakers. Transitional is the term used to collectively describe a variety of slag-type marbles that have pontils or shear marks on them. Amongst this type are the earliest German marbles, the earliest American-made marbles, as well as marbles from Japan and China.
