The filter on the 2019 L5D is the smaller filter just like the 2020 L5P and it takes 10 qts. as well. The L5p was a very small exhaust side configuration, small up pipes, small exhaust turbo vanes, etc. So I am guessing the ECM was seeing some very high EGT’s and cut power to keep from melting pistons. Looking at the Banks Video of the L5P tear down - it's much different than the LML on the Exhaust side of the turbo housing - the stock Down pipe looks like a cannister. Easy enough, but for anyone doing it, don’t take the shield with the housing. All you need to do are the two 13mm bolts at the back, top/side. You’ll understand when you look at it. Yea, it is generally 1 turn to 1 1/2 turn after the filter makes contact with the housing (depending on the filter). If it is that tight on there, be prepared for a fight to the death with that filter that is on there.
